The Land Registration Agency is the competent entity for the registration of property within the designated registration areas of the Maltese Islands
Receiving Office
The office receives applications for first registrations, transfers, hypothecs, cautions as well as official search requests. The office also issues Certificates of Titles and registered plans
Technical Section
The technical section is responsible for the processing of all applications received at Receiving Office and communicates with Notaries and Architects with regard the said applications.
Public Office
The office where the public may obtain information on any registered property. The office is responsible for the printing of official site plans, the issuing of certificate of titles and copies of documentation held at the Registry.
Land Registrar’s Office
The Land Registrar’s office is responsible to take decisions on applications for registration of title to property submitted at the Land Registration Agency. The Land Registrar’s office approves applications once they are deemed to be in line with the legal requirements envisaged in the law.
